Recycling in Solidarity is an initiative that unites expatriate and undepriviledged families and children to celebrate Global Recycling Day. Through collaborative recycling activities, participants from diverse backgrounds engage in environmental action, fostering cultural exchange and mutual learning. This event not only promotes sustainability but also supports underprivileged children through various NGOs dedicated to their welfare, strengthening community bonds and social responsibility.

BimBi Italiani, in collaboration with the Xaverian Missionaries of Khlong Toey
Presents Recycling in Solidarity: Connecting Communities, Supporting Kids, a community-driven event celebrating Global Recycling Day.
This initiative brings together families, children, and the expat community in Khlong Toey, Bangkok, to actively engage in recycling and environmental sustainability while supporting underprivileged children through an engaging, fun, and meaningful experience.
On the occasion of World Recycling Day, we are organizing this event with the patronage of the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) and in collaboration with the Xaverian Missionaries of Khlong Toey, an NGO that support the protection and acess to education of undeprividged children, families and communities.
THE EVENT AIMS TO:
Raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability and recycling.
Promote cultural exchange and inclusivity among children from diverse backgrounds.
Support underprivileged children through fundraising and community activities.
THE EVENT WILL INCUDE:
🎤 A presentation on recycling and solidarity
🎨 Creative workshops using recycled materials
🌏 Cultural exchange games for children
🍎 Healthy snacks to promote well-being
Special Guest: Wishulada – "Turning Trash to Treasured Art"!
We are excited to welcome Wishulada, a renowned Thai social artist activist, whose "Turning Trash to Treasured Art" project promotes sustainability through creativity. Under her guidance, families and children will create unique artworks using recyclable materials, fostering environmental awareness, teamwork, and artistic expression. Some of the final pieces may even be displayed at the NGO center!

Participating Families
400 THB / 12 EUR per family (higher donations are welcome)
Fundraising Goal
50,000 THB / 1,500 EUR to cover the event day and support the Xaverian Missionarie for underprivileged children.
