A Bridge Between Culture and Community
Angolo del Libro is a BimBi Italiani initiative designed to make Italian literature accessible to children, young readers, and language enthusiasts living abroad. In many countries, finding Italian books is a challenge, and high shipping and customs costs often make reading a luxury. Our mission is to bridge this gap by providing inclusive access to Italian books while promoting culture and sustainability through sharing.

We want to create spaces where children and families can access Italian language books. The aim is to:
Promote reading, culture and environmental sustainability through the reuse and exchange of books.
Promote literacy and stimulate interest in Italian fiction, making reading an accessible and fun activity.

Access to Italian book for children and young people living abroad is a significant challenge.
Italian books are difficult to find: Ialian books abroad are often absent from local markets and bookshops.
High shipping and customs costs: Shipping books from Italy is very expensive and not an option for many families.
Limited books and materials for those learning Italian: Non-Italian children and young people, passionate about Italian language and culture or engaged in studying Italian, cannot findItalian books and materials to support their learning.
How Does It Work?
Angolo del Libro - in English "Book Corners" - are solidarity spaces where everyone can access talian books
Each "Angolo del Libro" (book corner) is more than just a little library. It is a meeting point that values reading as a tool for growth and connection within the global Italian community. By reusing and sharing books, we promote a sustainable approach to culture, reading and literacy, reducing waste and encouraging education.

"Angolo del Libro" promotes the reuse of books, reducing waste and contributing to environmental sustainability.
It supports Italian and non-Italian families by offering equitable access to educational resources and books in Italian.

Our goal is to expand to other local and international locations (such as libraries, cafes..) to give children and families around the world inclusive access to Italian books, promoting culture, literacy and sustainability
